Finding the right clothes
Deciding what present to buy a family member is never a simple task. Typically it can be a struggle to get gifts for even your best friend. There is a lot to look at and I often find myself thinking will they like the gift and what does this gift say about me. The trick is in buying them a gift they would like and enjoy. Typically this means doing some research first although you can usually find likes and dislikes out by asking a few questions.
You often hear all sorts of old wives tales when looking for presents especially when it comes to clothing or shoes. There is an old wives tale that if you buy a woman shoes, she will walk out of your life and that buying accessories like a watch can harm your relationship. Both these statements may or may not be true but I can give some useful advice when purchasing clothes.
When it comes to purchasing clothes for somone research first. Make sure to find out the size someone is whether it is shoe size, trousers or a basic shirt. You should devote a good amount of time to this because if you buy too little then people may be upset but if you buy too big a size then that may be viewed as insulting. The next step is to investigate the clothing they already have. From this you will be able to work out what styles they are into and what clothes work best for their body.
When looking for clothing for younger people it is vital to look at the clothing brands they already have. Teenagers look at clothing differently because it helps to establish who they are. For example there is no point buying some colourful Paul Frank clothes for a Goth that wants to have black pvc trousers. Investigate first, you could even enlist the advise of a best friend or partner by asking them if Dave likes SupremeBeing clothing or if he likes this range of SupremeBeing clothing. If you follow these simple steps then you should be able to get a t-shirt, hooded sweatshirt or jeans that he likes.
